Due to a new landowner we can no longer take the shortcut through the field at near the start of the Sedbergh Race as it is not a public footpath. The alternative route goes to the end of the track and then follows a path up through the woods and side of the beck, crossing the beck at some point to rejoin the existing route. The U9 turn will most likely be at the end of the track.
