In the event of heavy rain or storm conditions that water log the route, the race may need to be cancelled due to conditions set by Natural England. The RO will make a decision on the day if this is the case.
There is also a 4 mile road race starting at 1pm.

From the village green it heads along the track to the bottom of the hillside, where there is then a steep climb, and then a summit run along to the cairn. The descent is then broken in two by a run along the sloping hillside before heading back along the track to the finish on the green.
