Starting from the field adjacent to the farm the race heads out alongside the beck and then climbs up to the top of Flan Fell which is the U14 turn. The seniors and U17 then drop down to the field corner along the bottom edge and then back over the top of Flan Fell and return to the finish.

The event field is located at Beckside Farm on Old Hall Road. To ensure ease of access, competitors are asked to arrive from the east via Town Bank Road and to exit west via Old Hall Road.
