We are all very excited to welcome you to the first race of the BOFRA season this Saturday. This is a bit of a long post but please do take the time to read it as it does contain a few rules and reminders.
Registration packs and race numbers will be available for those that have joined up on the field next to registration. Please collect your number before trying to register as we will need to know your number to enter you into the race. It is important that you still register for every race before running even if you have your number, failure to do this will result in disqualification.
As previously stated membership on the day is not available this season and although anyone can run points will not be issued for those not running in a black members number. Cut off for membership for Sedbergh to count is this Wednesday.
Registration will open at approximately 10.45am. The first race is the u9s at 12pm followed on by the rest of the junior races with the seniors not before 1.30pm.
Entry fees for the races are £2 for juniors and £5 for seniors, this is the same for members and non members, please try and have the correct change ready.
Presentation will be after the senior race has finished on the field.
As with all BOFRA races please bring and be prepared to carry kit, a final decision on this will be made by the race organiser on the day weather dependant.
Can we also please remind you the junior races are for juniors only therefore adults are not permitted to run with the children, any form of pacing or helping will result in the runner being disqualified.
Unfortunately dogs are not permitted on the sports field at Sedbergh and they must be on a lead whilst out on the course.
Finally please remember that all marshals and helpers are volunteers and any form of abuse or bad language towards them will not be tolerated.
Lets hope for the sun to shine, have a great race and most importantly have an enjoyable BOFRA day out. We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday
