It was rather a wet and windy day at Wasdale for the final race of the BOFRA season. Due to the torrential rain in the morning a decision was made to only run the seniors to the 17 turn for safety of marshals and runners.
54 Seniors and 39 juniors took part in Wasdale Show fell races.
Race winner was Sam Bentham of Ilkley Harriers in a time of 15:51 whilst first lady was Deborah Gowans of Todmorden Harriers in a time of 24:40.
The Under 17 race was won by Zeke Sumner of Ambleside AC in a time of 16:58 whilst first U17 girl was Holly Fitch of Wharfedale Harriers in a time of 24:20.
In the Under 14’s race, Theo Zaboklicki of Furness Fell Runners was first boy in a time of 08:09 whilst first U14 girl was Maisie Oddy of Keighley & Craven in a time of 09:51.
Under 12’s first boy was Lawrie Belshaw of Ambleside AC with first U12 girl, Olivia Stones of Keighley & Craven .
