Hannah gets her Blue Peter Badge
"I sent a letter and photograph to Blue Peter to say that I loved Fell Running. I told them all about Fell Running and explained that there were two different organisations (F.R.A and B.O.F.R.A). Also I explained that I was in their championships for under 12 girls.
I said that I ran for Keighley and Craven AC and that our colours are red, white and green. I also mentioned that at some of the races you got chocolate. With my letter I sent in a poem that I wrote at school about Fell Running."

It's a flurry of legs,
A steep upwards climb,
Brambles clipping like pegs,
Brain losing track of the time
Up to the top,
Down the other side,
Over stiles with a hop,
Slip on a mudslide
You can feel the sting,
Of nettles a lot,
Feel like you're on the wing,
Your body all hot

Your eyes just a blur,
As you stamp through a bog,
You just hear a constant whir,
As you run over the summit covered in fog
