Both Alva Games and Ambleside Sports offer a full programme of sports events alongside the fell races, including track events and cycling so those attending may wish to consider entering some of these events also. There is some serious prize money and the races are handicapped so it can be worth your while to enter, especially for juniors in the the track events. You usually need to enter the track events beforehand .
More details on the events on offer can be found on the respective websites. Pre-entering the track races also generally gets you a complimentary entrance ticket provided you send an SAE.

For Ambleside Sports, if you buy your tickets online in advance it will be cheaper than at the gate on the day. Once in there is no charge for the fell race.
