It was a second win in a row for Mark Lamb of Keswick AC as he returned to defend his title, winning in a time of 8.13. The ladies race meanwhile saw the previous U17 champion and record holder Amelie Lane of Wharfedale Harriers move up to the senior race for the first time and win in a time of 9.46, just 11 seconds outside the senior ladies record. In the junior races however there was a new record with Poppie Phillipson of Birtley AC setting a new U12 girls time of 6.34,
The mile handicap race saw veteran Simon Shaw nearly hold onto the race having started at the front, but he was just pipped approaching the line by Rohan Brooks, unattached, who started on the back line and worked his way through the filed for the win.
After preliminary heats, 6 runners made it to the final of the 100m handicap. Ina almost a photo finish James Bowen of Ambleside AC claimed the win.
