Not quite a full gala but still lots going on at this years Arncliffe Gala, a 4 mile road race as a warm up, tea and cakes on the village green. brass band playing and even some children sports, plus possibly a record turn out for the senior race with 130 seniors and 128 juniors taking part.
Winner was Ted Mason of Wharfedale Harriers who claimed his first BOFRA championship win of the season in a time of 10.34, after taking a slightly different route of the top to get in front of Simon Bailey who this time had to settle for second place. Whilst first lady was once again Elsie Butler of Howgill Harriers who finished in what we believe is a record breaking time of 12:40.
